when you are using spiral blades , just how wide of a cut must you allowed for ?

On the package you receive the blades it will show the width of the blade. They are very good for vein lines and a lot of small cut-out holes. The cut will not be as smooth as other type of blades but that is the nature of spirals. I have a scrap board that shows the different blade cuts and labeled even to the different maker. Altho all I have on hand now are the FD blades. Good luckChuck D
