Delta 40-690

I purchased a new Delta 40-690 in January, 2012. I like the machine, but it has begun doing some strange things, two to be exact. First, only when cutting, that lamp changed light intensity; dimming and brightening. Also, the saw has for no known reason yesterday sped up while cutting. Could I be doing something wrong? Or is it the machine? My old saw never did this.

Well Randy, don't know specifically about the problems you listed but you should make sure to contact your local DeWalt / Delta dealer and keep in touch with them. They are pretty good about making things right.

My Hawk did the same thing when I first got it. Turned out to be a faulty control circuit on the board. They sent me a new one and it has been right as rain ever since. Delta is usually good at customer service so as Doug said, contact them ASAP.
