Excalibur 30

I've found an EX-30 w/ stand 'locally' for $400 on Craigslist. I'm very tempted to check it out but would appreciate any advice on checking it out. I've a small square so I would plan on checking vertical front to back and side to side. It appears to be in visible good shape and is a dark grey. It says Sommerville Design Excalibur on the front. Can't make out serial number or model on one of the photos.

Unusual color for an EX. Good price but I'd try and dicker them down a little if possible. No warranty.

That is one of the original saws that were manufactured in Canada before the company sold out to General international. Personally I think $400.00 is a good deal for this saw. I would buy it if it was near me.

The company no longer exists as it went bankrupt. No parts are available for it as General tools never made it . Do not buy unless you need it for repair of another saw. I got newer Purple color one for half that for parts. it works okay now. Ray Seyco e-mailed me that there are no parts available. Invest in a new one, or one that has repairs available.
