I was looking over the parts diagram for the Delta 40-540 saw and it says that part #40-250 is the Quickset Blade Chuck, which looks like it has been discontinued. Maybe you could try and adapt the part #40-251 Quickset II Blade Chuck instead.
However, you did say you needed the blade support and I see that what Delta calls the "Blade Support" is actually part #1343632. Apparently it is still available, at least from the place in the link below.

It looks like the #40-251 Quickset II Blade Chuck will fit the Delta 40-570 saw as well, but the two parts that Delta calls the "Support" [part #1342241] that the upper blade chuck attaches to and the "Cover" [part #1342242] where the blade tension lever attaches are no longer available. I have been scouring the internet to find these two parts for backups for my own saw as well, but unless someone actually has them squirreled away in drawer somewhere, they are apparently nonexistent.

by RolfI agree with you Mark, I am constantly changing or adapting my patterns to suit my taste or the size of the wood that is available to me. Thinking about electronic versions of the patterns, that would be great. But very hard to control. It amazes me how many people have no scruples about sharing....

Reply to Peanuts #1by RolfBruce I just looked up the Pegas blade and the Flying Dutchman puzzle blade.
Pegas TPI 28.2 Thickness .087" Width .0236"
FD TPI 31 Thickness .08 Width.023
So the Flying Dutchman is a bit thinner , not sure it would make a significant difference. Three teeth per...-

by Quartz43Perhaps, we could hear from Fox. Maybe they could try some things and see if it makes things better. Or, they can just keep doing the things the same way.

by markdavdThis is a case were the publisher can't win.
I personally like the patterns to be printed at the artist's intended size if at all possible. Let me decide to reduce or enlarge. If I don't have the equipment to make a copy at 100%, that's my problem not the publishers. We all have our own...-
