Porter Cable 16" Table adjustment

I just bought the Porter Cable 16" Scroll Saw. It was already put together except for the stand. The table is no where close to perpendicular to the blade when set at zero degrees. The manual does not give any instructions on how to calabrate the table to zero. Does anyone know how?

Use the block of wood trick. cut about a 1/8" cut into the wood then pull the wood away from the saw and slide it around to the back of the blade and see if the cut lines up with the blade. If it doesn't then drop one side of the table just a little and try again. If the cut angle gets worse then drop the other side a bit and see if you can get it just right.
