I just bought the Porter Cable 16" Scroll Saw. It was already put together except for the stand. The table is no where close to perpendicular to the blade when set at zero degrees. The manual does not give any instructions on how to calabrate the table to zero. Does anyone know how?

Use the block of wood trick. cut about a 1/8" cut into the wood then pull the wood away from the saw and slide it around to the back of the blade and see if the cut lines up with the blade. If it doesn't then drop one side of the table just a little and try again. If the cut angle gets worse then drop the other side a bit and see if you can get it just right.Pacifism is great, as long as everyone is participating.

Reply to The Vikingby jim_mexHi Jo - that is an absolutely stunning piece of work and a labor of love to draw the pattern and then transform it into a dimensional wood project and give so much life to the character. Your choice of wood color and grain combination is also spot on. Wow!
