I made some modifications to an older Craftsman scroll saw some of you might be interested in.
I removed the original blade tension system and replaced it with a cam lever tensioner.
I made my proto-type lever out of oak to make sure first that my idea would work.
The cam lever now on the saw is off a bicycle seatpost clamp and is made of aluminum.
I believe anyone with some mechanical ability should be able to handle a project such as this.
One thing I know for sure is this will make an older saw alot more user friendly.
