  • Proxon Scroll Saw

Has anybody used the Proxon scrollsaw? I see the ad in magazines and often wondered how it was. I did pnone a local supplier..would have to order it, I think it was over a $100.00 and he wanted me to buy a DeWalt that he had on stock. I wanted it to "take with me" when I went out and about.Bob

    Proxon tools

I have seen the saw advertised but have never used it. I have a proxon table saw, a shaper, and a drill press with a milling bed attachment. They are fine little tools but little is the operative word. I don't know how big the scroll saw is but the tools I have by proxon are all scaled down for miniature/model type work. I would guess that the saw is also a scaled down version......but it's just a guess.
If it don't fit, don't force it....get a bigger hammer!!

But I also look at other patterns and think how I can reuse it. But sometimes that is just too much for my brain...

Since I refuse to subscribe till they do something about the patterns in the pull out. They even made the DVD tough to print patterns.

What I do is look at the index of the book on and if see something I might want to cut I go to Walmart and check out the book. If I like...

Absolutely everyone here has made valid points. That's part of what I've liked about this group.....different view points and different ideas. And we respect the diversity. You people rock!

I too miss Bob Duncan. I do not think anyone from FC has taken over that role at least on this forum. If they have I am not sure who. Like Betty, I owe a lot to FC and this forum. If it was not for them and this forum I would have probably turned my saw into a boat anchor years ago. Oh how I looked...
