Every year I have done a show in Fairhope, AL I get a request for a violin puzzle. So this year I am prepared! This is made out of cherry and note the detail with a sound bar, chin plate, and F holes.

Very nicely done Brian. Great wood choice. Thanks for sharing this with us.

With my luck, the violin player moved to Montana and now will be bugging Mike for a violin puzzle!

Very creative piece. (I wish we could see the detail you were pointing out).

Sorry about the initial poor pic quality. The one here is a little better where you can see the F holes and chin guard:

                Very nice puzzle, Brian!

I wonder how it would look if you added one of your food colorings to the filigree thingies on the sides? Maybe a black? Bet that would make them pop gorgeously.

                Great job as always.

                    Shawn,

I like your idea about the black "F" Holes - yes, that is what they are called believe it or not. Or I could simply remove the F hole wood and it would have a similar effect. Whatya think?

                          Linda,

My guitar puzzle was published by ScrollSaw Woodworking and Crafts magazine several years ago. I tried to insert an image here but can't get it to work. You can see it on my website.
