  • snowy owl in the clouds

While I am waiting on a break in the weather so I can cut my other puzzles I've painted, I've done another one of a snowy owl in the clouds. This one gave me an opportunity to practice my cloud painting skills. Clouds are very forgiving. They are so free that you can hardly make a mistake when painting them because they are so unique. The color and shading of the reflected light is something that can be altered at will and will be different in every painting.
The picture I used as a guide didn't have a moon in the sky but I wanted to try adding one so that I could practice bouncing the light off the clouds and parts of the owl.
I hope to soon be able to get back in my shop and begin cutting some of the puzzles I've painted. They are beginning to stack up. Whenever I do I will post pictures of the finished projects.
Thanks for looking. All comments and suggestions welcome.

Me, too, Bob. 40's and 50's I can handle, but it's been in the 30's here and that's just a bit too much cold for me to be in my shop cutting. I have a kerosene heater but with prices the way they are...well, I'll just have to be patient and wait it out.

Being a diet controlled type 2 diabetic, I check my glucose. Checked before my shot on Tuesday it was fine. Checked on Wednesday after a morning walk expecting to see less than 100 and about fainted when it read 158. Every check has been 150 or more since then. Started reading and yes, the shots can...

Not yet Jim. The corners of the baskets to appear to be drawn by hand or just a bad copy. The price might go up. Thanks Linda. For some reason I really like doing layered baskets. And my customers like buying them. Bruce read a blacklight shows glue spots. Guess what he bought me from harbor freight...
