I give up from ebay

I had problems with eBay charging twice for the same seller fee. They restricted my account and would not answer e-mails or phone calls, butthey did have a collection agency call me twice a day till I finally paid the overcharges just to get them to go away. I still can't get them to cancel the account because I opened it with an e-mail address that I don't use or remember what it is anymore. I had updated it to my new address in my profile but they won't close the account without the old one. Paypal is the same way so I eventually had to change my bank account so neither eBay or Paypal would have any info on my banking and nothing could be taken from my account.

I also had problems with ebay / paypal and closed my account. It took me many phone calls and emails and THREE YEARS to get it closed.

Here in the Uk I have no problem with e-bay or pay pal. I buy all my timber from a supplier I found on e-bay and i order every week, it is 3 times cheaper from him than buying locally. I sell at craft fairs and craft centres and I am kept very busy keeping up with it all. I was going to sell on ETSY.com when I first started but feel my stuff would get lost on there as there are hundreds selling similar things.

Ebay,- Grrrrr !!! I can call it many other names too !!!!
I live in the small coastal community of Port Vincent, South Australia, Australia, AND I have also had major problems with Ebay not once, but many times, so much so that I have given up on them. Ebay, and to a lesser extent, Paypal are not as secure, and as safe to do business with as they claim to be, believe me. Many a time I have received fake paypal, bill for a non-existant item I," had sold, " on ebay, while for actual items that I had sold, ebay, through paypal then then billed me not once, but several times for the same item,- yes that's correct,- " Billed me," -didn't automatically send me payment, but actually billed me !!!
yes, I have complained, & complained,- but no-one listens, simply send me hype about how good their," service is."
Result I don't use ebay any more for anything !!!!!
Now use two other Australian sites to promote my products.
*** Etsy.com ??- Till I read your message, I had never, ever heard of ETSY.com
Something new for me to have a look at, maybe its a good site to sell / promote my Aussie designed Toy Plans,- who knows there's ONLY one way to find out !!
'ave a good evening everyone

Reply to Collapsible wood basketsThank you Karl, I to have seen these baskets at goodwill. I guess the reason they are so cheep is because they are easy to make. To cut your collapsible basket you just tilt your saw table to the left 4 to 5 degrees (for the basket only). For those of you that would like to find patterns check out this...Today, 04:04 PM

Reply to Collapsible wood basketsby KarlBNice work Eugene.
You know the sad part about our scroll saw work is where it ends up. I was just a Goodwill and saw a collapsible basket there with a price of only a few dollars.

I bought 11 patterns of collapsible wood baskets from the Cherry Tree back about 1995. They are not copies, they are origionals and some are large. I do not know the laws well enough to know if I can share copies of these plans with members of this grpup or not. What I like about these baskets is that...Today, 12:34 AM
