I realize everyone has their own preference. I am considering setting up a website and have been looking at a lot of different sites. Can't make up my mind. Can any of you recommend an excellent site host (preferably free) that will accomodate pictures, shoping cart and paypal? Thanks in advance -- "Grumpy" William

I use blogspot and it accepts paypal and will accomodate pictures I am not sure about the shopping cart it may I don't need it so don't know. I also know a few other scrollers that use blogspot also for example Steve Good (scrollsaw workshop) uses blog spot but he also uses another host for his pattern catalog but for all his posts including pictures and videos are all posted on the blog. It's also free and you can customize it to what you are wanting pretty easy

I just redid my website and it does everything you're looking for and more. Take a look at it, there's a link on my site for the hosting company if you're interested.Don

I'm trying to set up a site on blogspot and boy is it confusing! Could someone point me in a direction on how to......? When i go to the blog I created, there is still the sign in and design links in the upper right hand corner. Can't get rid of them! ThanxDon

I also just had to redesign my website. My old host Microsoft Office Small Business Live offered the service free but recently decided to abort that offer. They now offer Office 365 which currently offers a 6-month free trial. Thereafter I'll pay $6/month.
O365 is still a little quirky but I'm on the trial offer and have time to decide whether to switch elsewhere. If does incorporate PayPal which has a shopping cart.
Check out my site to see what you might could do. Note that you don't have to have any special programming skill to get up and running.Mike

Don - your site on 1and1 is really clean and appealing. Are you at the 50 product limit pricing?
I am wondering how blogger makes their money. Is being free only for a limited time or is it going to be like the Microsoft example above and become a pay type later? Just trying to figure out how they pay their bills.

The project is 18" x 24" and I used spalted maple for the water, blue pine and weathered maple for the bird, poplar for reeds. It...-

by NC ScrollerJim that makes perfect sense. With the price of building materials, they are sky high in the US and still climbing, I could not see you wasting materials.

by jim_mexGood observation Scott! You found a mistake on my side
The shop extension should read 11ft, not 13ft! I screwed up my conversion from cms to feet and inches.
You had me worried though that I'd screwed up the placement holes for the uprights and cross beams so I just went...-
