    I think having the picture is a good idea - shows your inspiration and creativity to turn a photo to a piece of wood art.

    These were never judged. They were both donations to my local churches annual live auction. I know who has the round one, but not the other.
    Our scrolling club will be doing a display of our work for the month of March at a local library and I would like to add them to my part of it along with the Tugboat that I am working on.
    Have a look at my latest progress photo and tell me what you think about putting the original photo in the background.

    Older Chickadee's

    I did these a while ago they are a combination of JGR and modified Chickadee from Janette Square, a few of my own tweaks. The leaves are Lignum Vitae, some awesome color and grain. The other woods , Blue pine, Cedar, walnut, poplar. Wenge top of the head and polished ebony eyes. So you get the natural glint, reflection of light. I used a wonder wheel on the pine branches and pine cones.
