  • Older Chickadee's

I did these a while ago they are a combination of JGR and modified Chickadee from Janette Square, a few of my own tweaks. The leaves are Lignum Vitae, some awesome color and grain. The other woods , Blue pine, Cedar, walnut, poplar. Wenge top of the head and polished ebony eyes. So you get the natural glint, reflection of light. I used a wonder wheel on the pine branches and pine cones.

If it's made out of wood, Rolf can do it, and he does it very well.

              Well done Rolf!

These were never judged. They were both donations to my local churches annual live auction. I know who has the round one, but not the other.
Our scrolling club will be doing a display of our work for the month of March at a local library and I would like to add them to my part of it along with the Tugboat that I am working on.
Have a look at my latest progress photo and tell me what you think about putting the original photo in the background.

Awesome work, as always, Rolf. You never fail to go above and beyond.

I think having the picture is a good idea - shows your inspiration and creativity to turn a photo to a piece of wood art.
