It has been a while since I have done any intarsia so a bit rusty, Here are a few progress pictures. Woods used shawl Red heart, gown is cherry, face and arms bass wood, hair bocote. The wings are curly maple. some shaping done.jpggown partialy shaped.jpgJust started shaping the face.jpgAll cut.jpg

The only thing that appears rusty is the color of the red heart. It will be a beautiful piece and a very generous donation.

Tomanydogs, I do the majority of my Intarsia cutting with the Olson Mach 3 blade. It has 13 teeth per inch. My blade choice is determined by the detail in the designs.
