  • Wall hung inlay, Wedding couple

This is a wall hung plaque that was ordered last week. 16" tall 3/8" cedar with maple inlay. Letters are Mesquite. The angel was a bit tricky to to but I did get it on the first try. I put the lettering inside the smaller heart so that while cutting it I did not have to swing the larger heart all around to cut the letters.

What size of blade do you use to make those very sharp (V) cuts? I haven't done enough inlay to anywere near come close to your fine work. Great pattern.

Making the sharp "V" cuts is a problem. I work on perfecting it but they do not come out as planned sometimes. I use a #5 blade on my inlays. When cutting them I am cutting through 3/4" of wood so a lower numbered blade may not work well.

That’s how Bruce does his cutting boards. We only use titebond. Mostly.
