  • Rose frame with The Picture in it

I had a chance to see the frame I made with the Kinkade Beauty and the Beast painting in it.
Not easy to photograph. I like how the rose vine seems to continue into the picture in the top right, that was pure accident since I did not have the picture when I made it.

Excellent job on the frame. That Kinkade pic is one of my favorites too.
      It is a tough decision.
Put in a crappy pic so people notice the frame?
Put in a cool pic and people not really notice the frame?
But in this case they blend so well together, so you got a keeper there.

                        Don,
I made this frame for a special friend and all I had to work with were the dimensions of the picture. Her husband wanted it as a BD present but he could not get the print out of the house without her knowledge. So she brought it over Sunday so that I could take pictures of it.
I did have pictures of the frame without the print in it.

Carole, I think I am getting better but this forum keeps me humble with the magnificent work that is posted here. Thanks for the nice comment's

I know what you are saying Rolf. People keep raising the bar and it's getting hard to reach it. I post of pic of one of my projects that I think turned out awesome. It might be there a day or 2 and someone comes along with one of theirs and puts mine to shame.

I don't remember which one I used but I think it was somewhere around #12 which is .029 diameter. Anything between 12 and 19 will work you would just adjust your slot width. There is a pattern for bending it to shape do you have that?

Over the years I've found that cutting old wooden plates can be very rewarding. Most of them are very good wood and when you finish your cut out the plate already has a nice finish on it.. I normally buy mine at yard sales or Good Will whenever I can find them....

I've found in the past that you can find some very nice wood from old wooden plates. When you finish your cut out the wood already has a nice finish. I am only adding a picture of 6 but I have done many of these....
