My grandson, Ryan, who's visiting this week spent some time in the shop with me and made his very first segmentation project. He made a lot of small scraps from big ones and then learned to sand them into shape before he cut this dolphin. He did most of the work himself.

What a pleasure to see a kid interested in something besides computer games! He did a super job on a first project. I'm sure we're all hoping to see a second and a third!

Great to see young people getting interested in scrolling.
Now grandma can get you a pair of safety glasses to go with the mask, and gloves, and you will be all set for your next project.......
Thanks for sharing your Kodak moment with us Jan.Gloria ............... Two memorable things to say in life, "Hello" for the first time, and "Good-bye" for the last.

Ryan says to thank everyone for all the nice comments. He's quite excited about them. WD, he has goggles, but took them off for the pictures. He says he looks "funny" with them on. He fussed a bit about wearing the mask for pictures, but he wasn't given a choice there since he was actually grinding wood. Thanks from me for all the nice comments too.

by NC ScrollerThis is my second version of this Judy Gale Roberts pattern. I used holy for the dove and walnut for the cross. The flower in the center is yellow heart and red heart. The flower is mounted on a western red cedar block surrounded by maple. Comments welcome.
