    Very nice for your 1st attempts at intarsia. The cutting looks very good, joints are nice and tight. Good start with the shaping and you will learn more as you go.

                      That is a great start. I have always wanted to do that pair.
                      If I make a suggestion, and this is just my opinion, I would use a finish with less gloss.
                      Or is it the photo?

                        Thanks for all the input, unfortunately 2 of the grandkids saw them, so will be making more; especially seeing as I have 18 grandkids!
                        Rolf I am not much of a photographer and used the flash ( well the camera did!) but they are finished in satin, will try matt next time.
