To make and donate 2 of these for such a good cause is really special.

Its just some hard maple with a couple of coats of Danish oil followed with 3 coats of deft lacquer. I have used that same piece for several projects where I need a flesh tone. I know some like to use bass wood for skin but I think it too pale and washed out.

Nice Jerry, but then all your projects are nice. You should have been making sawdust years ago.

Well done Jerry, I like your choice of woods and the finish. Mine gets hung at Christmas along with several others.

    Just in time "Praying Santa"

Here is my second "Praying Santa" designed by Bruce Worthington.
Bloodwood, Yellowheart, Hard Maple, Walnut and Aspen

I auctioned off my first Santa at our Church's Fall Festival back in late October, and sold this one to the losing bidder for the same 900.00 bid! Wow! All for our missions fund!

I told the lady I probably wouldn't have it done by Christmas, but I finished it on Christmas Eve was able to deliver it on Christmas Day. It was then that I received the best gift this year that of her praise and gratitude.
