  • 1/3 of the Intarsia Marathon

Over the past 3 weeks I've made 10 intarsia pieces and took two off the wall in my den for a consignment art shop in our area. Fortunately for me, the owner loved them and bought them outright instead of taking them on consignment. I didn't have time to get all the pictures taken, but the projects were: Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, Bluenose, Sea Turtle, Cardinal in the Snow, Shy Frog, Dragonfly on Cattails, Sandhill Cranes (2) Kitten in a Christmas Stocking, Covered Bridge and a Tree Frog. Here are photos of 4 of them.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
Rhys: The eye is perfect! I bugged the surgeon enough that she agrees that the other eye can be done some time in March. If there is a cancellation, then sooner. I can't wait.

10 pieces in three weeks(??!!). I was lucky to get 5 pieces done in three months!

And, Jan, you never do poor work - no wonder the shop owner bought them all.

Tony, not much else got done around here. I spent my life in the shop. Now it looks like it's going to get worse. The art shop is expanding and the owner wants me to fill a 12 ft x 8 ft. wall. So much for my golf game!
