  • My frist Intarsia

I made this intaria magnet from a picture in big book of intarsia woodworking page 117 by Janette Square. I changed it some and made it from redwood and walnut.
It"s 1/2 t x31/2w x 7long I think i made it to big as I had to use 3 magnets to hold it up. Lance

Great job! Especially getting the fit. I can't take credit for the design - I found it on a free online stained glass pattern site I believe. Have you tried the rare earth magnets? They're really small and REALLY strong. You can find them at Lee Valley. Even my kitty can't knock them off the fridge.

Thank's for all the kind words, I well have to get some rare earth magnets.
I'll be glad when I can stay on the line without running my saw as slow as it can go.

I'm impressed with the tightness of your seams, especially considering it's only your fifth piece...!!
                    Great piece of work...!!!!!!!

By the by, you can also get rare earth magnets at Harbor Frieght, if you have one local.....

You might actually find it easier to control if you crank the saw to full speed.

Now is the time for puzzles for me. Impulse buy. I make kids puzzles mostly out of poplar, Bruce’s “pay” from the sawmill and sell them for $10-$15. Will check it out. Waiting for my copy of the magazine.

Well I just looked under New Releases on Fox Chapels site and found the book. Under "preview" you can see a number of patterns just not all of them.
