  • New intarsia birds designs

I promised sometime ago that I would post pics of the new birds designs I was making... First one is a goldfinch (pau amarello, wenge, basswood, walnut, mahogany for the bird and cherry for the branch).
Second one in my male cardinal that you can see here as part of a "set" with the female cardinal I had made few months ago. (The male was made with bubinga, aromatic cedar, bloodwood and wenge for bird, Pau amarello, Peuplier, Spruce for flowers).

    Comments are welcome.

    Hi Henriette,

Those are beautiful. The cardinals are my favorite. I love the look with the white flowers. Ok, now for a pattern?

Beautiful. Nice cutting, shaping and finishing. The goldfinch is my favorite. I love the yellow and black contrast. Thanks for posting the pictures.

I really love em, all of em. The goldfinch doesnt look overly hard, yet is very detailed. Thats a bird I would enjoy doing for sure!

Henriette, they are beautiful!! I love the colours and everything!

The impression I get from the Golfinch is that he is a tough cookie from his expression! Nobody better mess with his bird seed! LOL

                  Very nice!,
I really like both of the designs with a lean towards the Cardinal, because I like the dogwood Cardinal combination.
