Tried it as a finish on some scrap pieces, both sanded and raw. After 10 days it still looks good. Once it is absorbed there is no feel of any kind other than soft.

I use it all the time when I am needing to paint something and not paint over something else. I dab it on and after the coat of paint is dry wipe it off and there is no residue and the paint can't seep under it. Like around letters that have been routed in and you don't want paint on the top of the wood only in the letter itself.
