Mothers day flowers

Some "down and dirty" Mothers day flower. our Club will be donating a lot of them to a local nursing home. We need 140. These are from re-sawn pallet wood. A bit of power carving and the some playtime with the air brush.

I bought 11 patterns of collapsible wood baskets from the Cherry Tree back about 1995. They are not copies, they are origionals and some are large. Talked to her today. She’s still sick from chemo which isn’t unusual. Planning on going to New York on Thursday to spend time with her daughter and grand daughters. She said something about a big party before surgery.

I had considered useing a hot glue gun but I like to be able to reuse some of the bigger waste pieces. Also when I use brads and they extend through the bottom piece I am always carefull to take a small hammer and tap the points back up flush with the bottom piece so I do not scratch the table.
