  • Wild shot trying to find pattern

My son is getting married and my wife fell in love with a pattern named "Sylvia's wedding cross". Apparently that design was done by a person who is no longer on this forum and it is rather an old one as far as I can tell through searching. From posts I have searched several have made it. Finding a pattern would be good, but if someone could give me some basic dimensions I may be able to get by. Appreciate any help.

I was curious so I went looking. This old thread does contain a picture. I checked her old website and it no longer exists.

GladeFade, thank you for the help. I updated my email address, so you should be able to send the pattern. I really appreciate it.

NC Scroller, yep, I looked all over and all I found was old posts between 2008-2010

Here is a picture of the pattern. Each pattern was updated with the names and date.
It was on an oval base so it was free standing. also see picture. This one I added 50 years.
          They measure 7" x 7 1/2" and I made them out of 5/8" cherry.

I’ve made several of these for family and they loved them. Like, the idea of adding the years.

Just before Sylvia shut everything down, she made one for me to give my wife on our 25th, and that 11 years ago. Mine was one of the last she did, but would not accept any payment for doing it.

John... you need a good vector based program to change things.
I use Paint Shop Pro. See it for sale on ebay for $10-$15

Once you convert the pattern to a PSP file the names and date are on separate layers and are easy and quick to change.
As I said in an earlier post:
The names are Cataneo BT and the dates are Script MT bold.

You can see how to do all of this on youtube video's.

I guess I’m just impulsive. Had I thought like Bruce, I would never had bought my brand new ‘69 cougar I saw in the showroom when I drove by it, went in and bought. Or the panther snowmobile a few months later. Didn’t know I needed one until I saw it. Living in the Poconos I got a lot of fun...

i always research, read reviews, living on SS Income and paying rent, there's very little spending money. The only way I get money to buy things, is selling something I already own. I can't take a chance of buying something and being unhappy with it.

I bought a few new pieces of equipment last year. I researched the tar out of them. Kept putting it off. Debating. Convincing myself they were pure "wants", and definitely not needs. I got impulsive and then ordered a couple of things. Nearly cancelled the orders too, since they were...

I’m doing what’s on the cover of Woodworks and Crafts, Sept 2004, for a special customer. I’m going to use 1/2” wood and back with verigated grays for the background. I really love working with White oak and other quarter sawn wood. It makes beautiful baskets.
