  • 2020 Christmas Ornaments for Sparrow's Nest

My wife, Ann Marie, volunteers at a local organization that supplies cooked meals to families’ of cancer victims on a weekly basis.

Every year she talks me into supplying a handcrafted Christmas ornament for the folks and their families to maybe bring some joy to them. These are the 6 ornaments for 2020, stack cut and hand painted a total of 75 pieces. We had to be careful to not offend anyone with our religious beliefs, which I was willing to do…but I refused to call them holiday ornaments. The ornaments were packaged separately in glassine envelopes, and each family will receive one next Monday with their meal delivery.

    Thanks for looking.

Rick thanks for your efforts. I run a food bank and I can tell you this time of year, especially this year, we need all the Christmas we can get.

Beautiful work and thanks for not falling into the "holiday" season. However, I saw an article today that there are 14 different religious celebrations between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Really like them painted. Well done.

Great idea to give to the cancer victims they will really appreciate the thought.

This is the first year I have not done ornaments for our local cancer support centre as I used to take about 50 to the volunteers potluck but no lunch this year. I will think about this for next year.

Thanks for all your great work.

For you and hotshot , remember to hide notes, chicken bones or beer cans in the stud cavities for the next remodeler to find.

I am partial to the folks who hide plastic skeletons in dead spaces under stairs, etc.

                      by Ennobee
My wife fell in love with the shamrock cross pattern in the spring issue of SS&W. So I had to make her one as soon as I found the time. Off course, not being able to leave a good pattern alone, I decided to turn it into a segmentation using some real hard broken pallet wood I 'disposed off' at work....

                      Hi Jim.
glad to hear back from you. I have been absent almost just as long, but that was just because my 9-5 morphed into a 12-hour a day job due to... Something with the economy I guess. So yes. Good luck with your house. How come I have the feeling that after all this work you'll end up living...
