  • Giraffe sold at charity auction

    Giraaffe for auction 2020.jpg
I recently donated this giraffe puzzle to an online charity auction for Hospital Lumiere in Haiti. This hospital is operated by our church's international relief organization and they hold this auction/fund raiser each year.

It was hilarious watching the bidding for this puzzle. Apparently there were two people who were in a bidding war and because the money went to charity they each had decided to see who could outbid the other. Final sale price when the auction closed, a whopping $655.

Obviously I was delighted and had a good laugh as well as I had put a starting bid value on it at $20.

That's fantastic Virgil. Now if you could only get that sort of price at craft fairs you'd be a very rich guy. We can but dream.

Congrats on your contribution to what sounds like a very worthy cause.
