  • Heart Trivet

The pattern is by Sue Mey. I used 1/2" Eastern Red Cedar. It cut real easy. but I found very fragile. We will use it as a wall hanging rather than a trivet. It was cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #3 MGT blades. Comment welcome.

Nice work. having worked with Eastern Red Cedar, I fully understand your comments about it being delicate.

Red Cedar is very brittle and breaks easy. It also does not do heat well. It is also hard to turn for the same reasons.

The grain pattern is beautiful. Piece like that SHOULD be on the wall--not under a pot of chili.

Too early to leave, too late to call in.

It sure is. After gluing, it makes a nice wall hanging.

You are right, Jim. No pot for this one.
