I have been cutting 8" x 10" boards but got the urge to print something in a larger scale. My printer only prints 8 1/2 x 11. I can go to the library and enlarge them but that goes to 11 x 14. Any suggestions on how to print bigger patterns other than buying a new printer, plotter or going to a business to have it enlarged?

Do you have a Kinko's near you?
Many places in USA have a copy / printing Kinko's store near them. At my local Kinko, if I have a PDF, JPG, or EPS file on disk or CD, I can print it out up to 11X17. I have to rent a computer at some fee per half hour, plus the cost of the printing a page (fee based on paper size and paper quality and weight.)
I also go to Kinko's when I get the SW&C Magazine and copy the insert at full size for 2.50 a side.

I've done with my printer large copies and what I do is tape up all the pages together. I am also about 45 minutes from the closest place that would print for me. Managed all these years on my own and it works very well.

Steve, do you have a spreadsheet such as Calc, the module that comes with the free office suite Open Office? If you insert an enlarged pattern into this program, it will print the pattern off over several pages. All you'll have to do is align the pages once they're printed. I've done this myself and it works great.

Quite right, Todd. I hadn't spotted that this thread would be happier in a different home - I'll move it to a more appropriate spot now.

Reply to Spring Issueby will8989And I used lots of it Carole! Folding, copying, lining up, matching, cutting away waste, repeat. A pattern the size of letter or legal size paper would have been much less time consuming.
