i am relatively new to scrolling but a man i met at a craft fair suggested thaT i cover the wood with brown packing tape, spray the pattern with adhesive ( I USE 77) after finishing cutting the tape is very easy to remove and leaves very litle residue. a light sanding is sometimes needed when i've used thin plywoods,on solid wood i have not experienced and lift or residue. also the tape seems to act as blade lubricant.

Reply to My Great Blue Heronby jim_mexBonjour planeur!
This is very nice project, well cut and shaped. Even though the colors are not true to life the choice of woods you made combine very well together and you should be pleased with the finished piece.
Congratulations on your first big project!! .-
