  • Compound Cutting

I know i'm asking alot of questions about pattern making but i find it just a pleasure to make my own patterns and cut them that is why i'm asking of anyone has any experience making their own compound cutting patterns. If you do know of a website or how you make your own could you share your tips and tricks. After you tell me you can shoot me so i can't give any of the hints away! LOL

    Thanks
    Jesse

some one really needs to make a program where you can paste two different profiles into the software and it will extrapolate a finished compound cutting.
    Anyone have any ideas?

      Compound Cutting

      Hello

We design compound scroll saw patterns using CMS Intellicad. Here is their website: http://www.intellicadms.com/

Examples of our work can be found on our website.

        Hi Saw4Fun

        Welcome to the forum .

Normally, a first post from someone promoting a product wouldn't be allowed to stand - it's too much like free advertising. However, on the off-chance that someone has $417 to spare and on the off-chance that you're prepared to help people master other CAD software packages...

I know some people use the free Sketchup CAD program to help design woodwork projects but I'm not sure how it could be used to design compound saw cut patterns.

Intellicad in the distant past offered a free version. It just so happens that I still have the installation version around somewhere. I don't know how suited that version is to making a 3D pattern, however.
