  • WOLF for Auction

A friend asked for a donation to help support his brother-in-law's passion, a "Friends" of a National Wildlife Refuge in Kentucky.

Given I have no working saw, I rooted thru a stash of piece's and put this together. I hope it gets a bid or two as it is a great cause! Frame is oak about 11 x 14". Wolf is cut out of 3/8 cherry, finished with Danish Oil. Glass is from a glass shop.

Please let me know what you think, especially critiques on how to do better the next time.

    Thanks.

I think it looks good as is Barry. I don't know that I would've gone with the green background but it does set it apart. Great job.

Looks good to me too. I agree with Kevin about the green. Peronally, I like black backgrounds for everything. Due to the contrast, black makes everything show up better.

The wolf is oustanding but the green brings it down a notch.

I love it as is. Black is great, but I like to see more color. I like the texture the background seems to have, or is that just my monitor. Everyone does black.

The Wolf is great and I would not have picked green as a background, but with the texture it looks very nice.
The coloring of the wolf works well with it.

They're such wonderful creatures that you can't go wrong with a wolf pattern, no matter what you do to it! And I like what you've done to that one.

Has anyone noticed that I like wolves as well as dancing? And yes, I do have Dances With Wolves on DVD .

Nice work, the frame looks good but color is a personal choice and for me it would of been green or black.

Thanks for the comments AND critiques folks. I really appreciate them!

FWIW, I'm indifferent on the green myself, b ut wanted something different that the standard black. The "texture" is fabric like and I used it on the side spacers as well. I hope to find out how much it goes for.....if I do, I'll let y'all know.

Again, thanks for your time and........as I had a couple PM's asking.....pattern is by Lora Irish - one of the finest wildlife pattern designers I've found.
