Nice work Steve, I've never seen a treed bear pattern before, as a twist have you ever thought of a treed dog and a pack of bears at the base...no really I am serious it would be a riot.Todd

Todd, that would be a hoot. It brings to mind the buck deer with the rifle. I designed the treed coons first for another hunting club that have coon hunts. The group from the local bear hunters assoc. wanted me to do a bear. The original coons has a mini clock. SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-28-2006, 07:24 PM.

Sign
Steve. The sign is absolutely GREAT!!! If it is to be used outdoors, what kind of glue did you use? It must have been quite a trick getting all the letters in their proper spacing and then gluing them so none of the glue showed around the edges.Buzz

I have used Elmers yellow glue for years. Lately I have been using Aleene's, both original and thick Tacky Glue. The best part of this is it dries clear. It's almost impossible to see squeeze out. Also, I haven't had a holding problem although I haven't used it under extreme situations. I mostly use it for scroll saw projects, desk name plates, wall hangings etc. I just fixed a wooden chair for our oldest daughter using Aleene's. Only time will tell if it holds.Buzz

Reply to Frustratedby markdavdWhen a blade slips out, the tendency is to tighten it more. Make sure you haven't over-tightened the clamp forcing the sides apart. Most OEM clamps are made from soft aluminum so once it starts they will continue spreading and it will be near-impossible to keep the blades in place.
