Very nice - that's quite a range of work you have there Steve. Those wooden bows are different and I like the cute kittens and the lighthouse clocks ..
I'm still hooked on cutting these Sheila Landry leaves here after seeing one of your earlier galleries ..lolIan

Thanks for the kind remarks. Ian if you do all of Sheila's leaves there are only around one hundred different patterns maybe more by now. I think I had around fifty in my gallery and only cut about half of what was available. Those single bows were from crafters mart there is 17 different bow plans. Crafters Mart is at.1-800-999-3445 www.crafters-mart.com They are a good source for wooden buttons, plugs, candle cups, shaker pegs and they did have a one price shipping on total order. The bow shelf in my gallery was my design using an old flat painted shelf as reference. I just made it out of real wood and made it 3D. Crafters mart are having some server problems right now and are not sure when the sight will be back up but they are working on it. SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-27-2006, 02:26 PM.Comment

Ian, I just tried it also and could not get it to work so I removed it and put their phone # in. I have been trying the # but it is busy. My catalog is an 03 but I placed an order not long ago. I got through to their # and they are working on their websight server The address is P.O. Box 1433 Greeley, CO 80632. I have done business with them for several years and they have done me great service. SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-27-2006, 02:32 PM.Comment

by RolfOur Judges are some of the best woodworkers I have ever met. On occasion I get asked to explain what I look for in the scrolling categories. I point out all of the nuances. I can't be a judge as I have intarsia and scroll work entries.

by RolfThere may have been some crud on the tips from manufacturing.
In the ~20 years of scrolling I never cleaned the ends of my blades until recently. Even with the Pegas clamps I was having some blade slippage, I now scuff the ends of my blades with some 220 grit paper End of problem.!...-

by NC ScrollerDon’t over sand them as you will shorten their usable life. Only sand as needed. Another thing to do is clear your blades before installing. Blades are coated with oil to prevent rust. Wipe the ends with alcohol or lightly sand with 320 grit.
