  • A Portrait of Grandad in the Navy

    Hi Everyone, here is a portrait of my grandad when he was in the navy. It is the only picture that I have known to exist of him as I never knew him. He passed away years before I was born. I thought that it would be a good tribute to capture this in wood. I will see how the family reacts to this one. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed as always. Steve

          Good job! As a young man, there are few character lines to bring out so you did a very good job in converting the photo to a workable pattern.

                Thanks for all of the kind remarks. My uncle, the youngest of grandad's children just saw the photo now he is emailing it all over showing it off. That is what makes it all worthwhile. Steve
