          thanks guys..
it's not like I need more ribbons, I have a whole drawer full of them.
6 years ago when I entered my first piece in the fair the wood working division was a little on the slim side and it was pretty cool to win just about every award they had to offer...

from there my goal was to promote the art of wood working from a scroll saw and that's when I started entering at least one project per division..
that's when they started loving me, it's a great feeling when you hear that they can't wait until next year to see what I come up with...

after the 3rd year they invited me to be a judge for the Junior wood working division.....

I have to say in the last couple years the wood working division has pick up with a very good showing so winning isn't so easy now....

what I'm doing here is tiring to help set the bar high! and if they beat me out I would be the first one to congratulate them!

Well, let us know what happens. Your work is exceptional--that goes without saying! Hope you bring home the big one with your motorcycle.

And I'm pleased that you considered the cupcakes a worthy entry. Curious to see how the judges like them.

Hi Carole, if you remember 2 years ago I won a 1st place with your collapsible basket

as for the cup cakes, I think they would do better in a different category but since you considered them boxes that's the division I entered them in...
the box division is the most popular and toughest division, it pretty hard to compete with a boxes with inlays and perfect joints....

I'll share the judges comments with you....

Well, maybe sprinkles will trump inlays and perfect joints. You never know.

                      update..
I just added the picture of my motorcycle...

my projects will be heading to the fair in 2 weeks...
the fair runs for 18 days and their expecting over 500,000 people this year with the 100 year anniversary and you have to think how many of those people will stop and look at my stuff..

I'm staring to get a little excited now.

Hi Linda - thanks for the comments on the welds. It took me an hour or so to get into the swing of MIG wire welding but I really like it in preference to stick welding especially for welding thinner material. I confess to investing in a new angle grinder to help with the cleanup and dressing. I bought...
