Some of you may recall from awhile back, that I was working on organizing a scroll saw class, that I would teach this Spring. Since the class was being sponsored by another entity, a minimum number of students was required. They were providing the venue and promoting the class on their website. I, along with several members of my scroll saw club, were going to conduct the class. I had everything ready and the class was scheduled for Saturday, May 12. Unfortunately, we didn't end up with enough folks registered to allow us to conduct the class, so it has been cancelled.

I was really looking forward to this, but it just wasn't really feasible to go forward with too few students. I hope to get another shot at this in the future. The sponsor is still interested and suggested that perhaps a Fall time frame would be better. We'll see.

I'm sorry to hear that Bill. I know you have already put forth some effort getting prepared for this class. Hoping it works out in the fall.

Disappointing news, Bill, but maybe between now and the fall, you can think up ways to promote the class. As a longtime speaker and presenter, I know that getting the word out makes all the difference between an audience of 2 and one of 200 (have had both sizes.)

Also, be sure that whatever date you choose, it doesn't conflict with other events. That can really wreak havoc with attendance (don't ask how I know!).

Hang in there Bill. Maybe it's just the weekend. My sister-in-law and her fiance are having a couple's wedding shower the same weekend. They made us invite over 200 people and only 50 or so RSVPed that they were available to come. Personally, I would have much rather come to your class. Maybe after a summer of promotion, they will get some people to come back in the fall to camp and take a class.
