    Howdy All

Finally sort of put the garage back together last week.
Been trying to do a birthday present for the misses, changed the design about 20 times in the middle of it......but
almost done ill post pictures SOON....!!!

    ....anyway

Anyone know where i can find a compound feather pattern
I found a couple of fretwork patterns, but i'd like to see what one would look line as a compound cut. Or i suppose i could try to carve one out.

    thanks...pete

compound feather? That sounds simple. I would take the regular feather pattern, and put it on 1 1/2 inch thick wood, and mark on the sides of the wood the shape i want the feather, the curves can be freeforms, it would look nice. Then I would cut that line, before turning the block and cutting the other. I think it would look good. Sorry, thats all the help I can offer. Dale

He puts biscuts between the long pieces, is that what you meant? He has stainless screws in the lips then puts the plugs on top of that. Scott, cutting one doesn’t take long. It’s the removing of the tiny drill hole, spraying each piece with distilled water, letting dry, sanding and sometimes flap...

Like Bob said clamp a straight edge to the table and adjust it to compensate for the blade drift. There are some blades that have no or very little drift. Like the Olson PGT series it also seems to me that the Pegas MGT 3 or larger cut very straight....

I now you do beautiful work but I have to say your attention to details on these baskets is impressive. soft smooth edges, no visible glue squeeze out. And of course the cutting boards are beautiful. I am guessing that Bruce cut a spline in the end of the board and then dowels. I have not seen that...
