Hello everyone, I recieved a Rockwell Delta Scroll Saw for Christmas and it is working not bad. Now it is a fairly old saw (made in '73) , I just wanted to know what was the general consensus on the reliability on this saw? Are they considered good quality, and will it last me a long time or should I be looking to upgrade in the next year or so? It's model number is 40-102 my googling has not come up with much info.

Can you post a picture or two of the saw? Folks might be interested in seeing an old saw like that!

Almost 40 years old and "working not bad" should give you an idea of its reliability. I have a few machines in my shop that are in the 60-70 year old range that are working great, and a lathe that's probably closer to 80. As long as it works for you (does what you need it to do) don't be in any hurry to dismiss the "old gal.". And yes, please do post a picture.
