I am looking for away to hand, display the small bird houses.I have seen wire ones, but I would like to use wood.

How about a wooden L bracket that they sit on? Will that work? You can also use a french cleat which will be hidden.
Pic is pretty self explanatory..
Top piece is attached to back of bird house.
Bottom piece is attached to post or tree and birdhouse hangs on it."Still Montana Mike"

you can use screw hooks, they make them in all different sizes.
but if your wanting it made from wood you will have to design
that into your scroll pattern?
