Wow what a difference this makes, no more vibration, mounting the saw to my work bench did not work. I remembered there was a post about a scroll saw bench and than I found this free plan, I altered the height to accommodate me sitting down, also my shop floor is covered with mats so I didn't have to put mats under the feet. Hey Don, Years ago when I had a Dremel Saw I built that stand. It was easy to build and worked great. I Don't have the saw anymore, but I still use the stand. I have my 1" belt sander mounted to it.Dan in So.Ca.Comment

Great job on the bench. One thing I don't understand, how on earth do you keep your shop so clean. I can clean mine everyday and I couldn't come up with something that looked like that. Everything looks good. DavidMy grandbabies are what keep me goingComment

Your stand does look nice as I said. You do what is most comfortable for you but may I suggest placing a 2x4 under the rear of the stand temporarily. You may find as a lot of us have that it will tilt the table just enough that you can see to the lines to cut easier and it will remove some of the strain on your shoulder and neck muscles allowing you to cut longer and with less fatigue and less tightening of the neck and shoulder muscles. It is just temporary so what do you have to lose...You may find you enjoy scrolling even more than before. If you find you like it attaching the 2x4 permanently will be an easy fix for you.
Let me know if you give it a go. I'll be curious what you think of my suggestion."Still Montana Mike"

I'm so glad you gave it a try and it worked well for you. I hope the surgery went well and was nothing too serious. Here are best wishes for a full and rapid recovery."Still Montana Mike"

SQIf you can't fix it with sawdust and glue, it's not worth fixing.Comment

Reply to Park the scroll saw for awhileFirst, let me say those are beautiful! Second, I can tell you that on the Facebook laser forums those people have been hunting for sources on cutting and charcuterie boards to laser engrave various personalizations onto. Some are willing to pay for quality and the finished pieces show it. Others...

by Sandy OaksA custom order for the "Wedding Rings" designer unknown. I used 1/2" solid Cherry and cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1 and #3 MGT blades. After sanding with a Mac Mop sprayed with 2 coats MinWax Lacquer Clear Gloss sanding between coats. Comments welcome. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Reply to MicromaMark scroll sawby hotshotIf you are talking about their microlux, that is the same as the little proxxon saw, and it is the absolute worse scrollsaw I've ever used. They also have a 16" (the saw rebranded a thousand times) which is also a distant second in the running for worst designed saws ever.
