Thanks Trout, when I first started cutting those saws it seemed like I could'nt cut them fast enough for everyone who wanted them. I have kept a couple that have a special meaning to me. SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-13-2006, 02:25 PM.

Nice work.
Hi Steve,
Those are really nice scrollings.
What is the background you used for the bears? (looks shiny & black)

HI Marcel, I use a painted plywood backer board for almost all of my scrolling work for it adds stability. I finish them with a spray lacquer. SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-13-2006, 02:25 PM.

welcome Steve. A lot of nice stuff in the photo album. Of your portraits I think the three kids is by far the best one, that one deserves an Outstanding!!! Now, I assume the guy in Kayleys box is actually a Steve-in-the-box , right? What a fun photo shoot that must have been! One thing that I did get a chuckle out of was i the Wedding photo. Is that you wearing them very stylish pants?????????????? I'm sure that photo wasnt taken last Saturday!!!
Good job on the scrolling! DaleDale w/ yella saws

Dale, sorry but wrong on both assumptions there. The toybox photo was actually Kayleys grandfather a friend and mentor of mine. Please if you were to find me in pants like that make sure it is at a funeral. MINE!!!! ha ha . I was about nine years old when that photo was taken. Thanks, Steve P. S. If it was'nt titled on the photo that was in Dec. 1975. The three children was of a lot better quality photo therefor it was easier to make a pattern from it.Last edited by Steviegwood; 12-13-2006, 02:26 PM.

Hi Evie, sorry to here that you had problems opening the photo gallery. I had a terrible time trying to get it posted without having to send an individual invite to everyone. I am kind of computer illiterate. I will try to get some photos to the gallery here but my dial-up service is slower than me. Thanks for the kind remarks about my works, SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-13-2006, 02:26 PM.

That is a very impressive photo gallery you have there. I saw so many things that I've been ogling over in catalogs and websites, and now your gallery. I need more time in front of my saw to make more of the wonderful things I'm seeing from everybody here.
Keep scrolling!Jim

nice work steve. alot of intricate stuff... how long you been scrolling? I wouldnt have guessed some of your backrounds are sprayed plywood. Id have guessed they were pieces of glass painted black (a technique i've hear dof from several sources.) good to hear of yet another backround technique...
keep up the nice work.'smile it makes people wonder what your up to, and brightens anothers day.'

Hi Tim, sorry it took so long to reply. I have been scrolling for about sixteen years. Thanks for the kind words about my scrolling. I like the backer board idea myself and a good lacquer finish. SteveLast edited by Steviegwood; 12-13-2006, 02:26 PM.

by JimernI dropped my subscription long ago, so maybe I should not chime in, but I dropped it mostly due to the pattern pull out.
I do not have a flat bed scanner, nor do I want one, so that is my issue.
But the result is that if I cut a pattern to scan, I have also cut the parts of...-

by Quartz43+1 on NC Scroller's suggestions. I would add that on appropriate patterns stop using the grey as it would make it easier to copy.
It says a lot if Fox Publishing does not comment on an issue like this. Even if they said they are aware that people have concerns and are looking into it...-

Reply to YoraHome Laser w/CNC Engraver/Routerby evilbadgerHere is the thread from when I was building it. I gave up trying to post photos on this forum. After they updated to the new format it no longer automatically resizes photos like it use to, I know I could resize everything on my own but the forum isn't as active as it use to be so why bother.
