Spent a few hours in the garage exercising the tools. Ended up with 30 ornaments cut (5 patterns, stacks of 6) and waiting for final sanding/finishing. I use 1/8" hardwood for my ornaments - in this batch there is ash, maple, beech, and cherry. Roundish ones are about 4 1/4", snowflakes are ~5". Note to self - don't take pictures of maple on pine plywood
....sorry.
Also found a little time to play on the lathe. Small curly maple plate, 7 1/2 wide, 3/8" tall, about 1/4" at thickest. Finished with BLO at the moment.
