  • Brazilian Cherry Carousel

Just finished cutting out from 3/8" Brazilian Cherry, sealed with Neutral Duraseal, finished with 3 coats of spray Deft. My wife says that I now have to make some out of Walnut, Austrailian Cypress, Purpleheart. Have made one from 1/2" quartersawn white oak. She loves them!

Great looking project Tim, I agree a carousel cut from walnut would also look good.

        Nice choices of wood!
I have had some success and some frustration with purpleheart.
I had one pice that was quartersawn, I used dozens of blades for a small project.
Other times I have used it, the blade cut like butter.

It is going to be nice to see all the different woods together, please post pictures when you are done.
