  • Hi,

I've been reading these forums for the last few months and thought it would be good to say hi. My name is Daniel and I live in Attleborough, Norfolk, England. I've been scrolling for about 4 months now and been getting loads of advice from here. So I thought I better replay the help and contribute to the quilt you are all making. I've been a chef for about 10 years now and that is where the inspiration came from for the piece. I hope you like it. I've also posted some of the other pieces I’ve done in the galleries. I'm sure this will be the first post of many.

    Hi Dan

You're designing and producing work like that after only four months? Impressive!

    Welcome to the forum .

There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is readily adopted.

          Welcome Dan

I sure hope scrolling is putting a little spice in your life, since you are good at it.

If you can cook something imaginative like this after only four months, it will be a piece of cake in the future.

          Darn, now I'm hungry.

Thanks for all the kind comments, I've just been trying to find a box to send it in. I think I've found a box big enough for it to fit and strong so not to damage the piece. I send it in the post tomorrow

I did that with Creative Woodworks. But when Bruce's group had their monthly meetings and swaps, somehow or other the ones I didn't buy ended up here! I keep all my holiday ones separate. But I also look at other patterns and think how I can reuse it. But sometimes that is just too much for my brain...

Since I refuse to subscribe till they do something about the patterns in the pull out. They even made the DVD tough to print patterns.

What I do is look at the index of the book on and if see something I might want to cut I go to Walmart and check out the book. If I like...

Absolutely everyone here has made valid points. That's part of what I've liked about this group.....different view points and different ideas. And we respect the diversity. You people rock!

I too miss Bob Duncan. I do not think anyone from FC has taken over that role at least on this forum. If they have I am not sure who. Like Betty, I owe a lot to FC and this forum. If it was not for them and this forum I would have probably turned my saw into a boat anchor years ago. Oh how I looked...

Yes I would sand all around the hand and feet to give it some depth.
