  • New Zealand Scrollsawers, where are you?

If you are a fellow Kiwi reading this forum and looking for some local support with your scrollsawing how's about getting in touch with me. As far as I know there is no scrollsawers club in NZ, yet from the reports I get from Carbatec in Auckland there are a lot of people out there scrollsawing away because they sell an awful lot of Delta scrollsaws. They are sold before they have landed. On this forum I have only met one other NZer at this stage. As to how many others have brought other brands of saws, who knows.

I belong to the Manawatu Woodworker's Guild and we have an Open Day coming up on the 14th May at the Awapuni Racecourse. A couple of us are taking a stab in the dark and organising a meeting time for scrollsawers at this open day. If you live locally, far away or know of someone else who might be interested in scrollsawing, check us out on the day or make contact via email.

Wouldn't it be good to get a club going over here!
    Cheers. Teresa .

There are clubs going in Australia - Australia Scroll Saw Network. I think if you check out the Australia forum at http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/index.php? you may find other scrollers from New Zealand. There are a few that are members of SAW also (Scrollsaw Association of the World). You can find some contact info at http://www.saw-online.com/Local%20Chapters/clubs.htm

    Hope that helps.
