    2009 Christmas Ornament Swap

    Hi All,
I know it is early, and I do not mean to be presumptuous. But I would put out there that if you wanted me to organize the swap again this year I would be happy to.

I do not mean to step on any toes -- so if someone else is interested in running it that if fine. If not, I would be happy to coordinate again this year.

And I am going to try not to send my ornaments still smelling of finish this year

    Hope everyone is doing well.

    Cheers.

    Hi, Chris.

Thanks for volunteering! I've read through the prior Ornament Exchange and Secret Santa threads and both look like fun. I would enjoy particapting in those this year, I think. Will there be a sign up sheet of sorts....how does that work?

        Hi guys,
What we did last year was you would send me your contact information, and how many ornaments you wanted to send out. I would then put together lists of addresses of the people you would send your ornaments to.

That is how we did it last year. I am open to suggestions for this year.

        Thanks.

Eeek! It's still August! Don't chase my summer off!

Looking forward to it Chris. I pm-ed you my ideas about making it a straight swap. I'm still feel a wee twinge o' guilt for getting more than I sent last year, and I think it'd be fun to send an ornament to everybody who I got one from.

Last years thread on this is still up and has some pictures at
http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/gen...-saw/16664.htm if anybody who wants to see what sorts of things went around then.

Poplar can have almost white sapwood and dark green heartwood. If you look at western cedar, besides the planks they use for decks and patios, you'll find that it has a very light tan sapwood and can have very dark brown heartwood. Look at the western cedar siding boards in the big blue and orange stores....

I'm working with a local artist to develop an idea I've had over the last year. Have you ever seen what's known as a photo collage? It's where hundreds of small pictures are put together, side by side in rows and columns so that they make a larger picture when viewed as a whole. Those photos are always...

Last week I was looking for a couple patterns for this week's discussion/demo on making 3D type puzzles. It is so much easier to get the patterns from the CD/DVDs than scanning pages of the magazine but I found that the latest archive CD I had was #6 which goes through issue 72 and they've issued magazines...
