  • Puzzle problems

I,am having trouble cutting puzzle pieces so they fit together without a lot of sanding. I,m using a dewalt 788 saw. I checked the blade for side to side align, thats ok but I noticed the table from front to back has a slant forward.
I cannot find any way to adjust the front up to be level to the blade. What am I doing wrong?

It is not the table it is the blade holders that need adjusting. Here is a discussion that may help you.

JT is correct however there is a spacer bushing that rides in the groove under the table which allows you to tilt the table. You might check to see if the bushing (spacer) is riding in the slot. Just a suggestion.
If it don't fit, don't force it....get a bigger hammer!!

I'd like to help if I can but I can't figure out what you mean by "puzzle pieces"? What thickness wood and what kind of pieces are you attempting to cut?

          Puzzle Problems

I appreciate all the replies. I'am going to try out each suggestion. While I do not have a very accurate guage I will start with a ruler till I get one. I was cutting a puzzle out of 3/4 pine when I ran into this problem. Again I appreciate the replies. Harold

So many are selling them here it’s not worth us making them. However, we do very well with our dough boards. Nobody else makes them. We have an order for a dough board and matching pepper grinder. The walnut board I could make into a beautiful basket or two and sell for lots more than they are getting...

I use #7 on my younger kid puzzles. Easier for them to put together.

I did forget to mention he cut a finger on his left hand with the bandsaw. Just took skin off. Lucky again. Told him he was calling 911 next time.

Jim, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, on the left you’ll find some style options that change the font size and color. I’ve been using Defalt vB5 Style, and it seems to be about the best for my iPad, but I’m still experimenting with my iMac.
