  • Getting Some Orders

A while back I shared with you all that I was commissioned to do a piece of work for a missionary display. Well, I finished it, and was able to see it last week on the display where alot para-church/missions had there displays.

Well, they must have liked it, because I got two more orders on the spot. Only problem I've got is designing, I had a hard enough time with the last one. Now, they want some original art work as well. Nice to know I'm not on any time constraints!

As soon as the pictures get back, I'll post the "GAP" Display work I had done.

Sounds great and look forward to seeing it.

Boy did I have something totally different in my mind when you described it the first time, but this project came out well and can see why you are now commissioned. Good luck with the others too.

Without the complete schematic it is hard to know what is correct.
That said, it is a multispeed blower that obviously has a controller board. That board varies the power to the motor. By doing what you did you bypassed that. You put power across the low and high windings. If any thing connecting...

If he connected to red and black and the motor spun wouldn't that indicate the motor is grounded? Without connecting the white the circuit isn't complete and the motor should not spin.

The reason for the smoke is incorrect wiring, posible melted insulation between motor windings and motor frame.

You mentioned connecting power to the red & and black wire. Did you do anything with White wire? Per the lable on the motor the black wire is high the Red is low. White common...
